Sew & Tell | January 2017

Hi everyone. Welcome to my first sew and tell for 2017. I didn’t have any firm sewing plans for January. My focus was on setting up shop and creating a plan of action to achieve my goals. That being said I did manage to squeeze in a couple of makes.

The first was this cold shoulder top.

Made using a Prima pattern from November 2016. It’s a very comfy pattern and I have plans to make more. But I will add from design amendments as well, now I know how the pattern works.

The second make for January was a mens shirt.

I used a Burda style pattern for this 6931. Apart from getting my head around which way the pin tucks needed to face. This pattern was pretty straight forward to complete. Making it for the first time in a print fabric added to the difficultly. But I am very happy with the final outcome.

And finally I made 2 new listings for my Etsy store.

I made a cute his & hers jumper set just in time for Valentine’s day. They are 100% handmade with subtle African wax print details.

They are all my makes for January. I have also posted a video in YouTube showing these items live in action.

Until next time

A x
